Navy lights
May 25, 1946: Battleships, cruisers, aircraft carriers, destroyers and other Navy craft throw a 40-minute light display into the night sky above the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports as Foreign Trade Week comes to a close.
Southern California civic, educational, trade and labor organizations held a series of programs emphasizing the importance of world trade — and the benefits of shipping through the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports.
