Alabama’s Homeboys
Two members of Homeboy Industries, a Los Angeles gang-intervention group, go on a pilgrimage to work with impoverished children in a rural, largely segregated Alabama community.
The poverty is shocking — even for the Homeboys. But there is also much they recognize: drug dealers, shootings and desperate youth facing no way out. In these children, they find their calling.
