Edition One Hundred launched on June 30. The concept is a two-parter.  One, it’s a gallery without walls, open 24/7 worldwide via this little thing called the Internet, and two, it offers photography printed in an exclusive edition of 100 for $100.  A bonus is that 10% of the proceeds from every print goes to a charity.

I am a young collector — young in the sense that I’m starting out as a collector, so discoveries like Edition One Hundred give me the chance to get in early.  It’s makes me feel a little bit cooler, too.   As founder Cat Jimenez puts it,  “Collectors will have the opportunity to purchase a piece of art that only 99 other people in the world will own.”  All prints are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity.

A&I Lab in Los Angeles will host an exhibit, running from Oct. 2 to Oct. 18,  of the 2010 Edition One Hundred work.   And of course you can go to www.editiononehundred.com any time of the day.P
