Second storm hits Southern California

A second more powerful rainstorm in a week came ashore Friday afternoon, drenching parts of Southern California. The storm is expected to linger through the weekend, with snow levels falling below 4,000 feet in the local mountains.

The heaviest rainfall hit Santa Barbara and Ventura counties Friday afternoon and reached the Los Angeles area Friday night.  A weaker system passed through the area on Wednesday, bringing light showers and some rain-related accidents.
