Things seem upside down for South Korean golfer Kyung-tae Kim, who is reflected in a lake as he walks to the third green during second-round play in the Bridgestone Invitational golf tournament in Ohio. Chinese soldiers run for cover as a wave hits the coast in Wenling, where they are bracing for a strong typhoon that is expected to hit this weekend. And in Israel, a police explosives expert removes part of a rocket that was fired from the northern Gaza Strip into an open field near the southern Israeli town of Kiryat Gat.

Add stops in Brazil, Germany, New York and Spain to round out the report.
