Cirque du Soleil performers before and after photos

Once you strip away the Hollywood glamour and glitz, movies are an art of light and motion, transformation and perception. ‘Iris,’ the new made-for-Los-Angeles show from Cirque du Soleil that opens this week at the Kodak Theatre, celebrates the magic of cinematic makeover, captured in these before-and-after portraits by Los Angeles Times photographer Jay L. Clendenin.

    This was one of the most spectacular things I have ever witnessed! I wish I could see it again and again. There is so much going on that one viewing is not enough!
