Affordable Art Fair: Jan. 19-22
The Affordable Art Fair is set to come to Los Angeles, showcasing original, contemporary artwork priced from $100 to $10,000. It is fantastic way to expand your collection and knowledge in a comfortable setting. Until this year, the fair has been an East Coast and international event; now we in Los Angeles will get to experience the vibrancy of this unique art bazaar.
I like settings like this because they tend to offer so much in a lively, social atmosphere. There is also a rich lineup of programming, which is free with admission. There’ll be something for everyone, including the little ones.
It’s awesome to live in a city that hosts such an event, a perfect way so spend a portion of your day and then go explore downtown. I’m going to start my weekend on Friday by attending “The Five P’s of Collecting,” hosted by Edition One Hundred, a group that works as advocates for photography in Los Angeles and around the world.
There is also a benefit scheduled on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in support of Free Arts for Abused Children.
