University of California police in riot gear keep hundreds of student protesters from entering the Highland Union Building at UC Riverside, where the UC regents were meeting Thursday.

Student protesters push the limit with University of California police in riot gear during a standoff on campus. The police kept hundreds of student protesters from entering the Highland Union Building where the UC regents were meeting.

    I am wondering why there are no pictures of the bruised and bloody students who had rubber projectiles fired at them. I don't understand why the LA Times isn't reporting that at all. Did your reporters leave early?
