Reader Photos: Best of Southern California Moments for January

This year’s best of Southern California Moments begins with a dog that’s just not ready to start his day. Other stunning shots this month include Rinzi Ruiz’s captured moment between two strangers on a downtown bus and Jordan Dunn showing us what you can find when you look up. Finally, Lizette Carrasco shows us that sometimes, the image you’re looking for is right at your feet.

Going forward, we ask you to continue submitting images – via Flickr, our own photo gallery, or by tagging us in a Facebook photo. And if you have suggestions, whether it is for a photo theme or challenge, or a feature you’d like to see, please reach out to us in the comments, or via Facebook or @socalmoments on Twitter.

In the meantime, in February we have an upcoming look at a local group of photographers that is focused on producing traditional street photography in a city stereotyped for an absence of pedestrian culture.
