A slow shutter and 30,000 snow geese make an interesting scene as they take off from the Middle Creek Reservoir in Pennsylvania. The geese stop at the reservoir to feed before continuing their migration north to breeding grounds in the Arctic. That’s a fitting segue to our next image of musher Bill Pinkham collecting hot water during a stop in Alaska’s Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.

In Israel, a pair of young Jewish sisters dressed as dolls in doll boxes are ready to join in the celebration of Purim in Bnei Brak near Tel Aviv.

Elsewhere, Turkish women take part in a demonstration on International Women’s Day in Ankara; Kosovo Albanians participate in a “Night of the Fires” ceremony and the Crufts Dog Show is underway in Birmingham, England
