Runaway tire lands in windshield
March 5, 1969: This runaway car wheel lodged into the windshield of a gasoline truck on the 710 Freeway and stuck there. Former Times staff photographer Frank Q. Brown photographed the truck at Atlantic Richfield yards. The driver was not hurt.
