It’s Monday, and that means another edition of the Week in Sports.

In Major League Baseball, Jayson Werth of the Washington Nationals celebrates with his teammates after his solo game-winning walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning against the St. Louis Cardinals during Game Four of the National League Division Series in Washington, D.C.  The news was not so good for New York, where Derek Jeter of the Yankees  injured his leg in the top of the 12th inning against the Detroit Tigers during Game One of the American League Championship Series; his team is out for the rest of the playoffs.

In the NFL, J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans gets introduced to the crowd at Houston’s Reliant Stadium at a game against the Green Bay Packers; Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III celebrates with fans after a 76-yard touchdown run during the second half of an NFL football game against the Minnesota Vikings; and fans cheer in Seattle, where the Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 24-23.
