Houston — Students wait outside an entrance to Lone Star College after a shooting that wounded at least three people and sent students fleeing for safety. The campus was locked down for at least an hour before an evacuation began. One person was detained as a person of interest, and authorities were searching surrounding woods for someone else also described as a person of interest.

Kleidi, Greece — Twenty-eight vehicles collided in fog in Kleidi, about 500 kilometers north of Athens, on Tuesday. One woman died and 26 others where injured, four in serious condition. According to police, 20 vehicles were involved in a first pileup and eight were involved in a second collision near the first.
