2012 Military Photographer of the Year photo competition

The Military Photographer of the Year Competition recognizes the best work of military photographers stationed around the world. The images include such scenes as combat patrols and daily life stateside. It is sponsored by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs and is administered by the commandant of the Defense Information School, with cooperation from national and local professional organizations.
