Loving Louise

From the moment I heard about Louise Brown I knew that I had to meet her. I was told she was going to be celebrating her 50th birthday with over 200 friends and family members at the Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro. She must be very special, I thought, to command such a crowd for a 50th birthday party. I mean an 80th birthday — 70th  even — that I understood, but “50” these days is young! I had to meet her. And so begins the story. But it turns out that her birthday party was only an introduction to something much more telling. A story of life. A story of family. A story of triumph. Everyone loves Louise, it seems, and you probably will as well.

Many times one reads of how someone lit up one's life or added sunshine, etc. Louise was one of those very rare people of whom this was actually true. She was a great pleasure to get to know, and will be very sadly missed by an awful lot of people. R.I.P Louise, – another great one is gone from among us.
