Sinatra makes impression at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre

July 20, 1965: Frank Sinatra leaves his signature in concrete at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Sinatra was the 150th film celebrity to leave impressions in concrete at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. On July 21, 1965, the movie “Von Ryan’s Express”- starring Sinatra – opened at the famous theater.

Los Angeles Times columnists Hedda Hopper reported in her July 23, 1965, column that “Frank Sinatra drew the biggest crowd they’ve ever had in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre when he put his prints in cement.”
