In Southern California, the Grand fire releases a large plume of smoke as it burns near Frazier Park; Keith Richards enjoys the cheers from the crowd while playing with the Rolling Stones during their “50 and Counting” tour at the Honda Center in Anaheim; and Kelly Soo Park looks back at the audience as opening statements are delivered in her murder trial, where she is charged with the 2008 killing of aspiring model and actress Juliana Redding.

Elsewhere, people take shelter in a primary school during the cyclone Mahasen in Bangladesh; models present creations for plus-size women by French fashion designer Jean-Marc Philippe at the Palais Royal in Paris; and protesters demonstrating against the social implications of Barbie arrive at the Barbie Dreamhouse Experience in Berlin.

Add stops in Israel, India, Manila and deep space to round out the report.
