Arrowhead 'Teardrop' car

Arrowhead ‘Teardrop’ car

This photo of a promotional vehicle for Arrowhead Spring Water was recently found in the Los Angeles Times archive. The only information on this unpublished image was the date of Oct. 2, 1936 and staff photographer J.H. McCrory’s name.

The car is so unusual, it didn’t take long to find an excellent article at Hemmings.com. by Terry Shea. According to Shea, the Arrowhead Water Co. of San Bernardino commissioned W. E. Miller to create an advertising vehicle for their spring water. Miler came up with this teardrop-shaped, three-wheel car.
