Thursday’s Pictures in the News begins in Anaheim, where police are searching for a suspected hit-and-run driver after a bicyclist was struck and killed early Wednesday. The male cyclist, who has not been identified, was hit by two cars about 5:40 a.m. on Orangethorpe Avenue east of Lemon Street, said Lt. Bob Dunn of the Anaheim Police Department. The first car sped off. The driver of the second — who apparently did not see the man’s body in the roadway before hitting him — stopped and called authorities.
