Maryinka, Ukraine: A Ukrainian soldier holds a dog as he rests during an antiterrorist operation against militants. Fighting in the neighboring Donetsk region continued unabated. Authorities in Donetsk said that seven civilians were injured when artillery fire hit the city, which has a peacetime population of 1 million.

Pathum Thani Province, Thailand: Rescue workers continue to search for survivors at the site of a collapse of a building that was under construction on the outskirts of Bangkok. At least seven people were killed and several others injured north of Bangkok, local media reported.
