May 26, 1922: Photo taken in the Los Angeles Times newsroom. At front desk on the left is assistant managing editor Ralph W. Trueblood.

This photo was taken in the third Los Angeles Times building at the corner of 1st and Broadway. The Times moved into its current building in 1935.

Trueblood retired in 1944 as editor of the Los Angeles Times.

    If you look very closely, you can see them ferreting out the unvarnished truth and writing stories of who, what, when, where and why, leaving editorial comment on the editorial page. This is a long lost art at the Times.
