‘Just One More’ photo exhibit opens
On Saturday, Oct. 25, the joint exhibit “Just One More” opened in Alhambra. One hundred and fifty images from 90 photographers are on display. The show is jointly sponsored by the Press Photographers Assn. of Greater Los Angeles (PPAGLA), the Chinese media and the California Media Club (CMC).
Since many historical photos are included in this exhibit. I stopped in. Among those in attendance was former Los Angeles Times staff photographer Boris Yaro and Associated Press photographer Nick Ut, pictured at right.
During the exhibit opening, past copies of the PPAGLA “Just One More” yearbook were available. Yaro spent much of the program autographing copies of the book containing his 1968 photo of the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy and 1976 image of burned firefighters. The firefighters photo will be an upcoming From the Archives blog post.
The “Just One More” exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at The Chinese Culture Development Center, 2121 W. Mission Road in Alhambra. The exhibit closes on Nov. 6.
