In 1978, Mina Yaroslavsky joined the L.A. City Council

June 21, 1978: Mina, 10 months, sits on lap of her father, Los Angeles City Councilman Zev Yaroslavsky, during long meeting at City Hall on city’s finances in wake of passage of Proposition 13.

The June 6, 1978 passage of Proposition 13 reduced property taxes throughout California. Government agencies at all levels were force into long meetings to adjust their budgets.

During one long June, 21, 1978, City Council meeting, Yaroslavsky combined babysitting and deliberating for about 10 minutes.

Yaroslavsky is currently a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
