Diving catch in the 1960 Rose Bowl

Jan. 1, 1960: Washington’s Lee Folkins makes a diving catch in the end zone, giving the Huskies a 24-8 halftime lead over Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl game. Folkins was on the receiving end of a 23-yard pass from Huskies quarterback Bob Schloredt.

The Jan. 2, 1960, Los Angeles Times reported that this was the greatest play in the Huskies’ 44-8 crushing of Wisconsin.
