This week, we begin in the Middle East, where mourners gather around the grave of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah at the Al-Oud cemetery in Riyadh. Foreign leaders traveled to the Saudi capital for the funeral of the ruler of the world’s top oil exporter.

Havana: Musicians walk along the streets of Havana while elsewhere in the city Cuban officials and the highest-level U.S. delegation to visit Havana in 35 years held landmark talks on reopening embassies. But both sides warned that normalizing ties would take time.

Dresden, Germany: A  360-degree panorama display depicts the city of Dresden in the aftermath of the Allied firebombing during World War II. On Feb. 13, 1945, months before the end of the war, British and U.S. bombers obliterated the historic city center, killing at least 25,000 people.

San Sebastian, Spain: ”Tamborilleros” wearing their uniforms march during “El Dia Grande,” the main day of San Sebastian feasts in the Basque city.

Tsurui, Japan: Two red-crowned cranes squabble in the early morning cold at a winter feeding field on Hokkaido Island.

Cincinnati, Ohio: Work continues in the aftermath of the bridge collapse on Interstate 75. The collapse killed a worker and injured a truck driver.

Foxborough, Mass.: New England Patriots Coach Bill Belichick reacts during a news conference about the NFL investigation of deflated footballs.

Los Angeles: Spectators are caught in a reflection for the movie, “Selma,” along the parade route of the 30th-annual Kingdom Day Parade honoring Martin Luther King Jr.

San Juan Capistrano: Orange County Fire Authority spokesman Steve Concialdi walks through the charred remains of a condo where a 3-year-old boy and his mother lost their lives.
