Not seeing eye to eye

The original Aug. 31, 1981, Los Angeles Times caption reported:

You’re wild high–Billy Barty, manager of the Hollywood Stars team, came out to talk with his pitcher, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, during Saturday night’s game with the media at Dodger Stadium, but obviously they don’t seem to see eye-to-eye on the matter.

A brief in the Aug. 30, 1981 Los Angeles Times reported on the Hollywood Stars-Media game:

A group of some 50 photographers, up from the usual nine that cover Dodger games, scrambled all over the field chasing various stars, including the most glamorous of all, Fernando Valenzuela, prevailed upon to pose between the Landers sisters, Audrey and Judy‚Ķ The Stars battled from behind as usual to win, “We always seem to find a way to lose,” said a writer.

Don’t feel bad,” said the Cubs’ Ken Reltz.
