Homeless children on skid row experience something most kids take for granted: A birthday party

The Worthy of Love organization plans birthday parties once a month for homeless children that live on skid Row. The parties are held the last Thursday of each month on the roof of the Union Rescue Mission in downtown Los Angeles. “I think every child should celebrate their birthday,’ said Mary Davis, who founded the Worthy of Love organization in January 2013. “ They should know how important their life is and that they are loved,” said Davis.
