Following the March 7, 1965, beating of civil rights marchers in Selma by Alabama state troopers, protests broke out all over the United States. In Los Angeles protestors gathered at the Federal Building demanding Federal intervention to protect the marchers in Alabama. Over the next few days, over 100 demonstrators were arrested. View Post»
