QUITO, Ecuador — Authorities say 110 families have been evacuated from the vicinity of the Tungurahua volcano, which has been spewing molten rock and ash since the weekend. Arthur Tress was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Nov. 24, 1940. He took his first photographs while still in elementary school in 1952.
