Bryan Chan
Bryan Chan started his career in newspapers after high school for his hometown paper the Lompoc Record. While studying photojournalism at California State University Fresno he completed summer photo internships at the Modesto Bee and Arizona Republic. He also attended the Eddie Adams and Associated Press Diverse Visions workshops. Upon graduation he worked at the Republic in Phoenix as a staff photographer for two years before joining The Times.
Like many Times staff photographers his assignments have allowed him to witness history unfold in countries like Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Mexico, Korea and China. Locally he has photographed the news, personalities and issues of Southern California. Now as a photo editor he concentrates on producing and editing multimedia content for latimes.com as well as shooting.
