Jeff Amlotte
Jeff Amlotte joined The Times in 1999 and has been a video journalist since 2007. Among his various roles, he’s been lab technician, assistant photographer and digital imaging specialist. He’s also the resident expert on Final Cut Pro.
Amlotte’s passion for photography, film and cinematography was born when he received a Polaroid Land camera when he was 9. Since then, he’s pursued black-and-white landscape photography as a way to linger in nature’s beauty. Outdoors, Amlotte uses either his Zone VI 4×5 or 8×10, refusing to give up film for the digital world.
Before The Times, Amlotte worked at the Daily News for six years as a photo technician and photo editor. His photography has been featured in exhibits in Los Angeles.
